In the following sentences, fill the gaps with a verb in the past simple or the present perfect, as shown in the example. NOTE: there must be at least one verb in each sentence in the present perfect.
Example:

I ___haven’t seen___ ( not / see) Michael for weeks, but I __saw__ (see) David yesterday.
