Combine each of these pairs of sentences into one sentence, using ‘whose’. Some changes in any or all of: words, word order, punctuation may be needed. For explanations, see E4-05W, for answers see A4-05W

Examples:

 

      0. I once knew a man. His father knew President Kennedy.

I once knew a man whose father knew President Kennedy.

00. My friend John speaks fluent Swahili. His mother is from South Africa.

My friend John, whose mother is from South Africa, speaks fluent Swahili.
